The US headquarters serves both commercial and residential clients, offering award-winning products and services. Additionally, a newly established sports entertainment division has been formed as a joint venture with a leading management firm in the North American market.


SUMMARY


The Director (/Vice President) of Human Resources is a key executive leadership role at the organization and will be charged with setting direction for and serving as a trusted advisor on all aspects of human resources management within the organization. This may include payroll and taxes, benefit and employee leave administration, talent/performance management, recruitment/hiring, employee engagement, employee relations and conflict resolutions, D&I initiatives, company culture, employment law and compliance. The Human Resources Executive will be responsible for all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of talent strategies affecting all employees, from hourly team members to corporate officers, within the organization. The Executive will be a key interface across business lines on HR related initiatives.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Developing HR plans and initiatives that support the organization's goals
  • Ensuring the organization complies with employment laws and regulations
  • Handling employment relations, recruiting new employees, and managing benefits and compensation
  • Fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Creating a positive company culture and encouraging employee performance
  • Communicating with company executives and management
  • Reporting on HR metrics to inform decision-making 
  • Planning and managing employee benefit programs
  • Thoughtfully engage HR conversations around strategy to understand, shape, and drive the company’s goals
  • Ability to inspire strong teambuilding and a supportive organizational culture that empowers our staff to click as a unified team and perform their best
  • Lead inclusive, solution-focused, high-impact sessions with staff focusing on self-awareness and self-management skills
  • Integrate mindfulness practices, diversity, equity and inclusion principles, and inclusive learning formats (i.e. neurodiverse communities, racialized populations, women and people with disabilities)
  • Lead staff performance evaluation processes by training and coaching managers, assisting with performance development plans, and implementing actions required by those plans 


QUALIFICATIONS


  • 7 to 10 years of experience in the HR, Business, or Leadership Development field, including experience managing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, talent management, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, total rewards, HR operations/HRIS, workforce planning and HR analytics and Employee Relations.
  • Excellent communication skills for interviewing, report writing, and presentations.
  • Ability to effectively relate and communicate with employees at all levels, while assessing situations with confidentiality, neutrality, and sensitivity
  • Strong leadership skills to encourage, instruct, and serve as a resource to junior HR employees.
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems, evaluate possible solutions, and implement the best course of action.
  • Good understanding of employment law to know when to say no to a request or when to consult with an employment law attorney.
  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university required; master’s degree is a plus
  • Exceptional knowledge of employee benefit program
  • Working experience with Paylocity preferred 
  • Ability to process the payroll is plus
  • Bilingual (English and Korean) preferred
  • An excellent working knowledge of office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
  • When required, must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to support project and production schedule deadlines
